Join our chained-dog advocacy group!
APA is forming a group of volunteers who are outgoing and who want to make a difference in the lives of chained dogs. Our president is also the Las Cruces Dogs Deserve Better representative, and she needs help checking on chained dogs reported to her on a regular basis. She will provide materials and training for the group, and the first goal is to physically visit at least two addresses per month to impart information, advice, and alternatives to chaining dogs 24/7. Along with this group's work will be the need for form a foster network of people willing to take in and work with eligible dogs who are relinquished as a result of this work. If you are interested in these efforts, call us at 644-0505.
