APA has been given the exciting opportunity to help some former abused, court-held dogs find an alternative from our municipal shelter. Most of these dogs are pit bull-type dogs who would not stand a chance at a shelter. APA believes these dogs are deserving of a second chance at life as a papered pooch after the abuse and stress they have lived through for anywhere from months-to-years. We are working with New Mexico Pets Alive to make that happen for any area dogs released to us instead of the local shelter.
