Thanks to the community for coming out to support our second dog wash fundraiser of 2011 on October 22nd.  We washed more than 65 canines customers, and the event raised nearly $900 for our organization. 

We especially thank our host, The Country Dog at 951 N. Solano.  This great business lends us their space, time, supplies and dog wash stations, and they help do the dog nails during the event and wash the towels we use for it as well.  The event was sponsored by Blue Ribbon Pet Sitting and the rest of the Las Cruces Petsitters' Guild. 

An event like this is not possible without the help of MANY volunteers.  We want to thank all of them, and as always, please let us know if we forgot to thank you!  Volunteers were Pam Needham, Jean Babb, Nancy Wertz, Mindi Avery, Dee Dougil, Julie Miller, Amy Gonzales, Cynthia Holmes, Alicia Minich, MJ Cammack, and Marie, a generous groomer from another establishment.  The Country Dog's owner, Tammy, also pitched in alot of help, as well as her staff and her father.  The latter helped us wash dogs when he saw we were short-handed.
